Meet Our Leaders

Joshua P. LaPan

Josh LaPan has an unbelievably upbeat and outgoing personality, in addition to his devotion, dedication, and commitment to the firm and his clients. With over 18 years of public accounting experience, Josh first joined Shepherd & Goldstein in 1997 as a Junior Accountant. He was promoted to Supervisor in 2003 and had then served as a Principal, acting as the primary liaison between clients, partners and the accounting team. His promotion to Partner in 2014 is reflective of his outstanding representation of our firm’s commitment to maintaining the highest standards and work ethics for all of our clients. His team leadership, dedication, passion and the work he has done on behalf of our clients reflects his enthusiasm.

Josh’s vast experience and knowledge covers general business consulting and compliance services in audit and tax, with a focus on the manufacturing industry and restaurant industry. Josh is also a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor, having successfully completed a comprehensive QuickBooks curriculum, developed by Intuit® to learn the best practices in QuickBooks installation, setup, payroll, reporting, and other day-to-day functions of the software.

It is because of his goal oriented driven personality that Josh was recognized with the Worcester Business Journal’s “Forty Under Forty Award,” which highlights successful business professionals under the age of forty. Josh earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Bentley University. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Worcester Young Businessman's Association. He is a member of the Board of Directors for Worcester Pay it Forward, Inc. and he sits on various committees for both Worcester and Blackstone Chambers of Commerce. Josh is also an incorporator for The Greater Worcester Community Foundation.

Finding Josh not working is a challenging task, but when he does pull himself away from his work you can find him conquering his goals and fears. Josh is very proud of defeating his fear of heights after he went skydiving. Josh now resides in Holden with his wife Kristina, daughters Sophia, Adrianna and son Joseph.
