As the Tax Manager for our Worcester location, Matthew Andersen is responsible for overseeing tax research and compliance for Shepherd & Goldstein. The combination of his education and his diverse professional background allows Matt to effectively provide value and tax compliance assistance, while identifying consulting opportunities to the firm and its clients.
Prior to joining the firm Matt spent 11-years in public accounting, which includes 8-years with PwC specializing in partnership taxation. Matt also has significant experience with corporate taxation, high-net-worth individuals, and advises on tax planning solutions across a variety of industries.
Matt graduated from Bryant University with a degree in Accounting, while also obtaining a Master’s degree in Taxation from Northeastern University. He is a licensed Massachusetts Certified Public Accountant and currently resides in Sutton with his wife, Kellie. Over his career, Matt has made it a priority to actively participate in the community. Through the years,Matt has been a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants, while volunteering his time at both the YMCA of Central Massachusetts and as a youth baseball coach.
